We are a Registered Agent as defined in the Customs and Excise Act No 91 of 1964, Customs Control Act 2014 and Customs Duty Act 2014
Foreign importers with no South African subsidiary, branch or existing agency who wish to export goods to South Africa for selling to customers.
These transactions are specifically designed to fast track the delivery of goods to a South African customer without the foreign entity being required to establish a physical office, or local business (subsidiary or branch) in South Africa.
Vin-Online Global Trade Advisory facilitates the registration of the company with the South African Revenue Services for Customs and Excise and Value-Added Tax purposes.
We act in capacity as Registered Agent only.
We perform all in-country functions relating to the importation / exportation of goods (i.e., issuing letters of instructions, perform review of all import and export consignments) on behalf of the foreign principal.
We instruct and manage the execution of vouchers of corrections in so far as any amendments on the original declaration are required.
Attend to any queries raised by the South African Revenue Services (Customs Authorities and Excise Authorities) in respect of imported and exported consignments.
Manage the Letters of Instructions and Forwarding and relationships of the forwarding and clearing agents.
Book and arrange shipping for import and export if required
Book and arrange warehousing and local delivery by 3rd Party Logistics Service Providers
Arrange and manage reverse logistics such as warranty returns, temporary imports, and exports
Manage the South African Value Added Services Tax Compliance obligations (VAT returns) including the remittance of Output VAT and claiming input tax (however all monies are paid directly into and from the client’s bank accounts.)
We provide real time transactional support to your buying and selling teams to assist with attaining customs and excise compliance and implementing the correct customs and excise procedures
We assist your employees to attain the knowledge to be able to understand the implications of the clearing and forwarding instructions and how to identify the appropriate transaction types for the shipping of goods internationally
We provide a post declaration review of all consignments imported and exported and shall provide our commentary as to compliance risks and opportunities identified as well as recommendations on remedial action should an issue arise.
We send you monthly summary reports of all transactions reviewed as well as summary findings, errors and emissions identified, as well perceived risks and opportunities identified.
